The Lightning Thief
Percy Jackson is not any ordinary kid. Once weird things start to occur in his life- his best friend has hooves, his substitute teacher is a monster, and someone close to him is a centaur- he seeks the truth. Soon, he finds himself at a camp for special, half-mortal children like him, and makes new friends... and new enemies.
Percy is the son of the Sea God, Poseidon. And he is the number one suspect of a serious crime. Zeus's lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy soon finds himself on a dangerous quest that will change the course of his life- and everyone else's.
Action: 8/10 I have to admit, I really was looking forward to more action.
Detail: 8/10 I felt that the detail was not as clear-cut as I expected.
Plot: 9/10 Sometimes, I couldn't get a sense of the real plot, it was blurred.
Put together, the aspects of the novel were astonishing (in a positive way) but when you pick it apart, you realize the true roughness. However, I couldn't put it down once I picked it up.

Happy Holidays
Hi Everyone!
Just wanted to say...
HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL!!!
Here's a poem...
Christmastime is finally here
Hanukkah's passed, we all had cheer
Kwanzaa's a comin', oh my, can't wait
Then New Year arrives, neither early nor late
These holiday times are joyfully cherished
When a new year comes 'round, they'll really be missed.

Thanksgiving
Hey, everyone! Guess what? Thanksgiving is here! Today, we should all take a few minutes of our time to appreciate our families, our peers, and our homes. Give thanks for all that you have. Anyway, here's a little Thanksgiving poem I composed:
Eating turkey is a tradition
Stuffing makes a lovely addition
Mashed potatoes piled high on my plate
Makes this day even more great
A golden chalice of cranberry juice
A pile of squash, a treasured truce
But the people at the grocery store
Told my mom that that the turkeys ran away,
And there are no more!

House of Night Novels
Dear Site Reviewers, I would just like to make a quick shout-out to girls ages 12-15. The House of Night novels by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast are amazing. If you need a book to read, I recommend this series. It includes a mysterious plot, dangerous creatures and drama. Thanks, pooja |
